Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
No Cost Spay/Neuter Program
ORHS pays for the sterilization of pets belonging to persons who meet one of the following qualifications:
low income
single mother
disabled
dependent on social security
Animal Rescue
ORHS rescues homeless animals from animal control, owner surrender and abuse situations. Animals are made current with vaccinations, spayed or neutered and provide all other care until adopted into forever homes.
Humane Education
ORHS provides instructional sessions on the care and treatment of companion animals to school children and community groups.
Community Food Distribution
ORHS coordinates donations and provides support to local food pantries to distribute food to needy pet owners.

Based on volunteer feedback, ORHS created better lines and methods of communication with our volunteers to better serve them.
