NC Conservation Network supports, trains, and coordinates diverse groups and directly advocates to achieve equitable and sustainable solutions for our environment.

Notes from the nonprofit

NC Conservation Network periodically conducts a strategic planning process to provide context and set big picture goals for several upcoming years. The last process was completed in 2022 for a 2023 start. In addition, NC Conservation Network has annual Board-approved goals set by staff to measure impact and track our work. In 2019, NC Conservation Network conducted a racial equity assessment by outside consultants to provide feedback of the organization at internal and external levels.

To reach our vision, NC Conservation Network:

- Trains, supports, and organizes the state’s diverse environmental community.
- Researches, promotes, and enacts policy that protects the environment.
- Stands with communities that have been historically impacted by inequities and environmental injustices, and works to support these communities in their fight for a more equitable future.
- Develops clear and succinct messages that will be utilized to achieve advocacy successes.
