The mission of The Andrew Young Foundation is to support and promote education, leadership and human rights in the United States, Africa and the Caribbean.

The Andrew J. Young Foundation promotes more just and prosperous
communities in the U.S. and globally by developing and supporting a new generation of
leadership for a multicultural world. The Foundation supports initiatives locally, nationally
and internationally in four areas that reflect Young's work as a pastor, activist, ambassador
and elected official consisting of Public Service and Advocacy; Civil Rights and Civic
Participation; International Humanitarian Initiatives; and Community Engagement.

Morehouse Leadership Forum Series

Facilitates a series of forums and community discussions at Morehouse College focused on current and trending social issues, moderated by national journalists with presentations by diverse and intergenerational leaders.

A model program to recruit, train and encourage students to learn business development skills: business start-up; management & communications; marketing & sales; and financial management through creation of a successful start-up agricultural enterprise that will additionally help students learn how to grow food in a sustainable environment; and how to prepare and eat healthy meals and snacks.

Veteran television producer CB Hackworth of Smokerise Entertainment produces the Emmy-winning Andrew Young Presents documentary series in support of the Andrew Young Foundation. With Young serving as a producer, writer and narrator, Hackworth has produced twenty-three one-hour presentations featuring the American Civil Rights Movement, Africa, and other themes. This on-going, nationally-syndicated series of quarterly TV specials airs in more than 80 percent of the U.S. market and is also distributed internationally via the American Forces Network, reaching 175 countries around the world.

Goal is to develop community-inclusive partnerships that enable local post-secondary institutions,
youth-serving organizations and other stakeholders to increase their capacity to provide engaging and
market-relevant programs that support 15-to-25-year-olds earn high school diplomas, enter and
graduate college, or fill and create high-growth jobs. In addition, programs help these youth develop
attitudes and behaviors necessary to continue as change agents to sustain the health and economic
vitality of their communities. Broader vision is development of a replicable model to influence policy
and practice of leadership development that will promote spurring similar partnerships -- clustered in
vulnerable communities around the globe.
