Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Christmas Stocking Campaign
In 2009, Communities 4 Children launched its Christmas Stocking Program. In its first year, the program provided Christmas stockings for 100 children in Georgia's foster care system. Since then, the program has grown to provide more than 200 stockings to children and youth in foster care, former foster youth who are now parents, and other families involved in the child welfare system. This program is only made possible by the generosity of friends, family, and the community.
Back-to-School Campaign
Many students in North Fulton are in need of backpacks and school supplies. Without these items, their education can suffer and fall behind.
Communities 4 Children, in partnership with Care Solutions Inc., donates backpacks to local community organizations to support at-risk children.
In 2020, C4C donated 125 backpacks for middle and high school students in need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody through the Community Assistance Center (CAC).

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Communities 4 Children (C4C) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Georgias children and families. Founded on the belief that all children deserve to have a sense of dignity, experience the simple pleasures of life, and have access to opportunities for success, C4C aims to deliver these experiences to Georgias most vulnerable children - particularly those living in shelters, foster care, and in reduced economic circumstances.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Communities 4 Children (C4C) organizes donation campaigns to benefit children in need, primarily children in foster care. In 2023, C4C worked directly with Georgia's Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) to reach youth in foster care placed with the smaller providers who tend to have fewer resources. The DFCS Educational Programming, Assessment and Consultation (EPAC) program identified youth who in need of school supplies
and backpacks for the 2023-2024 school year. C4C and our community of supporters ensured that these youth received the supplies they needed to start the school year with confidence.
In 2024, C4C will continue to provide backpacks and school supplies to children in foster care, while also looking for additional opportunities to support children and families in need in our community.
