What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Leadership Jacksonville (adult program)
Our core program is a yearlong program exploring dynamics of urban society, analyzing major areas of community concern, facilitating development of leadership capacity and promoting a network of community trustees. Approximately 56 adults annually participate in this program that is developed by a team of program alumni and staff with experience in adult development and/or group facilitation.
Leadership Jacksonville actively solicits applicants from all sectors of the community and selection is highly competitive. Criteria for selection include demonstrated or emerging leadership skills, active involvement in the community and a willingness to invest the time and energy required by the program. A conscientious effort is made to select participants who will represent a cross-section of the community in terms of sex, race, age, income level, occupation and community groupings.
Youth Leadership Jacksonville
Youth Leadership Jacksonville (YLJ) is a yearlong program for a diverse group of high school sophomores with demonstrated leadership ability. YLJ prepares class members to become responsible, ethical leaders committed to active community involvement.
Next Generation
Next Generation (NextGen) is a summer program for young professionals, interns and undergraduate or graduate students who are between the ages of 21-30, Participants interact with community leaders, network with professionals and go behind the scenes to explore the difficult issues facing our community and to learn about our successes. A special goal of this program is to encourage participants to live and work in northeast Florida.
New Leadership Summit
New Leadership Summit is for CEOs or top-level executives who are new to Northeast Florida. At a two day summit the group learns about our history, assets, issues, institutions and leadership.
