Baldrige Performance Excellence Program
What We Do:
The Baldrige Program educates organizations in performance excellence management and administers the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
We are the nation's public-private partnership dedicated to improving the performance of U.S. organizations. Our main focus areas are to:
• Help organizations achieve best-in-class levels of performance.
•Identify and recognize role-model organizations.
•Identify and share best management practices, principles, and strategies.
In collaboration with the greater Baldrige community, we offer organizations:
• An integrated management framework that gets results.
•Assessment tools to evaluate improvement efforts.
• Feedback reports from a team of trained experts, highlighting organizational strengths and opportunities for improvement.
•Presentations and workshops on how to improve using the Baldrige Criteria.
• Conferences and other learning events that showcase best management practices.
•A Presidential Award for organizations recognized as national role models.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We will be recognized around the world as the premier foundation for the promotion of performance excellence in all sectors of the economy. We will inspire organizations to achieve excellence in all they do with pride and societal responsibility. Together with our stakeholders we will create value through research and deployment of the latest cutting-edge management practices. We will focus on the future and manage for agility, innovation and creativity. Our Baldrige-based role-model performance will result in the Foundation's endowment exceeding $50 million by 2025.

What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Reaching all communities nationwide and all sectors of the economy through the Baldrige enterprise, a nationwide network of state-based programs which add value in all sectors including business, health care, education, business, government, and non-profit agencies.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program continues to grow by serving more applicants at the national-level. To date, more than 50 office visits with legislators and 10 major conference presentations have been performed by the foundation and its representatives. State programs continue to grow applicants. The foundation has performed more outreach than in the past 10 years to grow the endowment and attract donors and sponsors. The first Baldrige Excellence Framework Sponsors have been recognized at the annual conference and include: the American Hospital Association; the American College of Healthcare Executives, MESA, Larry and Brenda Potterfield (MidwayUSA), Wolters Kluwer, and Lippincott Solutions. The Foundation also hosted a successful national fundraising dinner in Baltimore, Maryland attracting leaders from all sectors of the economy.
