Veterans

Miracle Sports is an inclusive program where everyone is welcome to participate in team sports such as baseball, basketball and flag football. There are no try-outs and no one is turned away. Siblings and friends play team sports together at their ability level! With teamwork and cooperation, athletes learn lessons from team sports that are transferred to future educational and vocational pursuits. People with disabilities are often excluded from recreational pursuits and active leisure for a number of reasons: lack of barrier-free facilities and equipment, a deficiency of inclusive recreation programs, staff is not trained, a general lack of awareness of people with disabilities and about the importance of physical activity, and lack of motivation due to prior poor experiences or lack of confidence. The Miracle Field and the Miracle Sports program were built and designed specifically to address these concerns.
