What we aim to solve
To provide advocacy, action, and necessary support towards attaining the best quality of life for pigs as pets, to supply education about the pig and pigs as pets to current pig owners, prospective pig owners, the general public, civic partners, and community partners; to give back to the needs of the community through services provided by NAPPA and collaborations with NAPPA, with the interest of the breed incorporated into these endeavors. 1. Reduce over-breeding of potbellied pig. 2. Reduce the number of potbellied pigs abandoned into shelters.

Raising Awareness for Pet Pigs
Coordination of Humane Affairs: helping pet pigs at risk being auctioned off from shelters.
Coordination of Homeless Pet Pig Affairs: assisting in finding loving, forever homes whose ordinance allows them.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Change category of pet pigs to companion animals to attaining the best quality of life for pigs as pets. To supply education to the general public regarding about the care, and commitment of ownership pig and pigs as pets . To licensed all pig breeders and regulate to ensure they are not over breeding.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
To curb pet pig homelessness with educating the general public with spay and neuter. Spay and neuter is a proven way to reduce pet pig overpopulation and ensure every pet pig has a family to love them. Along with regulating pig breeders with a license, and /or state, and county registration.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
To educate the general public on matters of pet pigs and financially support varies local and state rescues as funds permit. By adding educational material to NAPPA's website, Social Media platforms, Twitter, and Instagram.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Have partnered with shelters to help pet pigs who enter into shelters who will be transported to foster homes for a forever , loving home.
