Quick Facts

aka Life Christian University

Tampa, FL

Life Christian University is a ministry education institution, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and dedicated to training quality ministry leaders in as many locations as possible.
• Founded in 1995, LCU has graduated nearly 18,500 students to date.
• In 22 years, we have operated over 200 campus locations across the US in 39 states and 22 foreign nations.
• We also offer a global on-line program of Theology and Biblical Studies.
• As a non-denominational school, we embrace students and faculty from a wide number of different churches. Our curriculum is biblical, faith-based, and interdenominational.

Our practical Christian curriculum is combined with our unique business plan to greatly leverage educational resources. This results in a program that delivers the greatest impact for a powerful transformation in our students, their churches, and their communities.

Our unique business model is a proven success. To plant an LCU campus, we locate qualified churches that can provide educated faculty members and classrooms. LCU provides a “turn-key" educational program, essentially a “university in a box," with course outlines, training to operate a campus, promotional material, even caps and gowns for graduation. Our business model meets the needs of both our students and their community in the most effective way possible.
• First, we provide a very affordable, pay-as-you-go tuition rate, so our students graduate with no academic debt.
• Second, local churches are strengthened as our students serve their pastors as ushers, greeters, and in visitation, prayer, etc.
• Finally, communities are transformed as our graduates serve as pastors and teachers in local churches and in outreaches such as homeless ministries and food pantries; schools and day cares; hospital, nursing home, and hospice ministries; and prison and jail ministries.

We are passionate about sharing the amazing stories of how God is working through our graduates. One host pastor told us “LCU's impact on this region has been profound."
