Mission

The mission of the Family Healthcare Foundation is to be the trusted leader in our community, ensuring equitable access to high-quality healthcare for all in the Tampa Bay Area. TFHF has a demonstrated history of galvanizing the community in an effort to decrease the number of uninsured, address process improvements, lead a diverse coalition of volunteers and provide outreach and application assistance in all public health coverage programs.

The mission of The Family Healthcare Foundation is to be the trusted leader in our community ensuring access to affordable, high-quality healthcare. Lack of adequate healthcare coverage contributes to poor health status, delayed diagnosis of chronic illnesses, risk of co-occurring health problems, a general misunderstanding of the healthcare system, and lack of a medical home. Having a usual source of care produces better health outcomes, as patients will be more likely to receive preventative health services and timely care, resulting in reduced health disparities, and fewer chronic and acute illnesses. We genuinely believe that access to equitable healthcare is a basic human right and are committed to respecting the dignity of each individual we serve.

Connecting Kids to CARE

Application assistance and enrollment support for enrolling in the State of Florida's Children's Health Insurance Program. On-going supportive services to find medical providers and utilize health care services.

Healthcare Navigators provide free, un-biased, and confidential assistance to residents in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties who are need of healthcare coverage.
