Breaking the chains for those victimized as children by human trafficking, child abuse and bullying.

Mission

Ark of Hope for Children is "Breaking the chains of abuse for those victimized as children by human trafficking, child abuse and bullying to lead survivors into lives filled with faith, hope and love." Ark of Hope is a human rights umbrella organization using a trauma-informed approach to serve survivors through our various programs. This approach acknowledges that traumatized people often respond to daily life quite differently even years after their traumatic experiences ended. When we address and patiently process their trauma, we change lives. Unconditional love, understanding and mentoring support empowers victims to mold the challenges of their past into hope filled futures as thriving survivors.

Removing Chains: live chat survivor support site

Through our customized live chat website, RemovingChains.org, we provide emotional support for victimized people young and old to transform them from depression, self-destructive tendencies to lives of victory over their past. We provide 12+ live chat rooms that are focused topically for specific survivors such as, child abuse; human trafficking; ritual and religious abuse; adult survivors of child abuse; female survivors; male survivors; bullying victims; and even those victimized by health issues that leave them feeling sidelined and often home bound.

All rooms provide for group or private text only chat and are safe and moderated. Through RemovingChains.org we provide online listening and mentoring for those victimized as children by human trafficking, bullying and all forms of child abuse. Where ever possible we connect survivors with professional resources within their own region or country.

We have found the Internet to be profoundly useful. By not seeing us face to face survivors feel more able to share their past in a safe way with dramatically lessened fear of guilt, shame and judgment. Rev. Blair has personally worked with dozens of victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, severe neglect, emotional abuse, ritual abuse and bullying.

Population(s) Served

UnChained Project is a program of Ark of Hope for Children that is mobilizing advocates nationally to provide localized community-based awareness and advocacy for people victimized as children by human trafficking, child abuse and bullying. Through localized events, workshops, prayer and outreach UnChained Project groups will be lighthouses of hope within communities and on campuses for survivors.

Population(s) Served

Ark of Hope for Children is excited to partner with TGIM Digital Publishing in providing a compilation, and ongoing series, of stories authored by those that were victimized by child abuse and child trafficking. Utilizing the model of TGIM's #WriteForHope Project we will help youth, as well as adults that were victimized as youth, by child abuse, human trafficking and/or bullying, to be able to verbalize and write out whatever portions of their story they are willing to write. While many will choose to keep their story private, others that are willing to will add their story to future "Removing Chains of Child Abuse" books in our series.
