Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Like other organizations with an all volunteer base, finding members willing to work for the organization is always a challenge. This requires us to put on interesting luncheon programs while continuing our other programs, especially our youth programs to help teach about the history of the founding of our country and our founding documents such as our Constitution.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To increase the amounts we are able to provide in Scholarships to our area's youth. Currently we have been able to provide Scholarships with maximum amounts of $1,000, and at that level we have a real challenge in attracting contestants. Unlike most scholarships, we require more that a particular GPA, the contestant has to write an essay or give an oration, and in most cases the subject has to be centered around this countries Revolutionary War. This helps encourage today's students to learn more about this countries history.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Actively seeking to broaden our base of contributors. In the past all of our contributions came from SAR Members, and we need to broaden that base in order to increase our Scholarship giving level.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are limited by the number of active Saramana SAR Chapter members. The more active members we have, the more we can do.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The number of Scholarship Contestants has increased almost every year since 2014. For Example, our Rumbaugh Orations contest went from two contestants to four, our Knight Essay Contest went from one Contestant to two, our Eagle Scout Contest went from one Contestant to two, and our Enhanced JROTC Contest went from four to five. Our Chapter Rumbaugh Orations Contest Winner AND our Chapter Enhanced JROTC Contest winner both went on to become the Florida SAR Society winners.
