What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Employment
Community Employment:
Participants work closely with job coaches to secure employment with area companies and organizations. Once employed, job-site training and on-going support foster continued success.
Triumph Industries:
Participants earn a paycheck while receiving training to increase their job skills and guidance in skills of daily living. Individuals are supported in structured activities and social skills training.
Education
On Campus Transition:
4 year program at University of North Florida. Students have a college experience through classes, campus life, internships and social activities.
Career Campus:
2 year program at FSCJ, Career Exploration, Work Readiness, Job Shadowing, Transitioning, Vocational Rehabilitation, O-T-J mentoring.
Xplore:
Hands-on experience to give adults skills needed to achieve a higher level of independence. Sessions include employment readiness, volunteering, nutrition and wellness, money management.
High School High Tech:
Provides students opportunities to explore STEM-related careers and a wide range of career development, resources and experiences to meet demands of the current workforce.
Advocacy, Support and Knowledge:
Provides resources for individuals and their families, awareness, partnerships between families and schools and provides training and workshops. This resource and referral service is available for all age persons with disabilities and their families.
Residential
The Arc Jacksonville Village:
An affordable apartment-style neighborhood that encourages a lifestyle of independent living and community inclusion. The active Village lifestyle is bolstered by a natural support system of neighbors, friends, families and volunteers.
Residential Services:
Five group homes located within Jacksonville neighborhoods to provide 24/7 residential care with individualized care and training to increase or maintain self-care, daily living skills and community safety skills.
Community Home for the Dually Diagnosed:
The Lodge will provide independent living skills training, supervision, assistance, and critical mental health services in a residential home environment, enabling residents to acquire necessary coping skills to address their mental health needs. The 24/7 wrap-around residential care and mental health services will be the first in Florida, serving as a pilot model for other similar communities.
Independence
Summer LIFE Experience:
A four-week residential program in an apartment setting that teaches independent living skills for adults seeking to transition to living on their own.
Strive:
A skills and activity-based program for individuals who need a higher level of support to work towards their unique goals in personal care, nutrition, communication and social skills.
Mental Health Services:
Promotes emotional stability and personal growth through specialized individual, group and educational therapies at both the Davis Street and Wesconnett Blvd. facilities.
Recreation
Strive:
Participants work towards their unique goals in personal care, nutrition, communication and social skills.
Club Arc:
Fun and exciting activities on Friday nights that are open to all adults over the age of 18 who have a disability. Club Arc is offered at the Westside and Village locations.
