What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Our work encompasses asthma, emphysema, lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, influenza, acute respiratory distress syndrome, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, air quality issues, tobacco control, radon and many other topics. We do our work mainly via education, advocacy and lung research. We provide lung disease brochures, disease management training, seminars, workshops, self-help materials, smoking cessation help and much more. We serve as expert resources for the media, public officials and the general public on lung health issues. The Tennessee Thoracic Society, our medical section provides education for lung health professionals.
