United Way of Madison County identifies the health and human service needs in our community and works to connect the donors, volunteers and collaborative partners best suited to address those needs.

Creating Assets, Savings, & Hope (CA$H)
Free tax preparation program serving families with $50,000 or less in annual income or those over the age of 60.
Fun Learning Moments
Fun Learning Moments is a family-friendly, interactive, and resource-filled program designed to help families with 4 & 5 year olds prepare for success in school right from the start.
2-1-1
Non-Emergency needs hotline connecting callers to basic human needs, physical & mental health needs, employment resources, support for the elderly & those with disabilities, support for children, youth, and families. Also, during a crisis connects callers to emergency shelter, food distribution, state & federal assistance, volunteer opportunities, grief counseling, clean-up crews, and more.
The Volunteer Center of Madison County
Online portal connecting volunteers and nonprofit organizations in need of volunteers all across Madison County.
FamilyWize
Free prescription drug discount card that can be used by anyone without insurance or on prescription drugs not covered by insurance. Participating pharmacies honor the card by accepting prices for medications that are close to the price they make available to insurance companies and employers.
United Way Youth Leaders Council
Program for high school students based on developing three core areas: servant leadership (through volunteerism), philanthropic leadership (through fundraising & allocations), and needs awareness (through community training).

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Work to address the Education, Health and Financial Stability needs in our community by raising funds from individual donors and corporations. We then partner with nearly 30 non-profit organizations and spread the funds we have raised over those almost 30 agencies to address those needs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We assess the most pressing needs in our community every 5 years by conducting and extensive Community Needs Assessment. We then build a Strategic Plan to address the most important and pressing needs found within our research.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our organization has been working to address the most pressing health and human service needs in our community for over 75 years.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have raised over $200 Million dollars over the past 75 years to work at addressing our communities most pressing health and human service needs.
