Work Experience Program

The Goodwill Work Experience Program is a short‐term on the job training program work experience with Goodwill of South Mississippi for individuals who need assistance in becoming accustomed to basic work requirements. A work experience is a planned, structured, learning experience that takes place in a Goodwill workplace for a limited period of time and is unpaid. Participants may be referred for the 30, 60, or 90 day Work Experience depending on the participant’s assessed skill level

Our goal as an organization is to help fellow Mississippians bridge the gap between unemployment and employment to help end generational poverty

Goodwill of South Mississippi has several programs, which are free to the public, that will help people who are transitioning into the current workforce. We also have several employees who are dedicated to helping individuals find jobs. We offer support from the start of an idea to reaching an individual's goal.

Goodwill of South Mississippi has been grateful to have the support of our communities. With trained professionals helping people in our community find gainful employment, Goodwill of South Mississippi can continue our mission of helping others find the pathway to a better future.

Goodwill of South Mississippi has organized many training programs in order to better prepare individuals for the current workforce, and in the future, with liveable wages, and we hope to expand those services as well as job place more people from out communities.
