Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal over the next 2-3 years is to expand our programs and services by adding a VPK program, with 100% of the funding from the state of Florida. This will then increase the children who will roll over into our after school program. We also have a goal of adding a behavior specialist to our staff.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Again we will add a program for 4 year olds who will be entering Kindergarten the following school year. This program is 100% free for parents and is paid by the state of Florida. Every child age 4 is entitled to enroll in a VPK program. We also would increase our afterschool program with funding mainly from the roll over from the VPK program with the funding continuing to come from the State as well as parent fees. And of course we would look to expand our volunteer tutor base.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have the leadership in place for this already, and would add direct care staff as needed to provide the care and education.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have begun work on implementing 1 VPK classroom this fall. From there we will phase in another classroom of 20 elementary children with the completion of Phase I of the Expansion project.
