Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Medicine Recycling Program
It began in 1997 with a group of local Miami doctors, pharmacies, case managers, social workers, HIV + patients, and volunteers. The volunteers traveled from the United States to Venezuela carrying the donations in their luggage, delivering to our sister organization Acción Solidaria A.C.
No medicine is to be prescribed to people in the United States. Our medicine and good donations are shipped overseas to support our Humanitarian Response Program.
HIV/AIDS Referral Services
The Referrals Service Program is made out of two types of interventions, Initial and Follow up Interventions, which are directed toward the service of the local Hispanic community and farmers Immigrants. The Initial Intervention focuses on counseling, support and referrals regarding complete care services and access to treatment.
-HIV and STI’s Counseling and Testing
-Medical Assistance and access to Medical Treatment through governmental programs (Ryan White , A.D.A.P)
-Support Groups
-Psychological assistance
-Economical Support
-Housing and food assistance programs
Action4Help
Since 2016, due to the situation Venezuela is facing, recognized as a complex humanitarian emergency, we expanded our services to support people with other types of chronic diseases and thus provide a much broader response. This is how our Humanitarian Action Program called Action4Help emerged.
Since its inception, we have made great efforts to channel all the help from North America (Canada, USA, and Mexico) and conduct all the aid received from various organizations created in Western Europe following the crisis in Venezuela.
All our support goes to the Humanitarian Action Program of Acción Solidaria. A Venezuelan organization with whom we have worked together since our founding in 1997. They are currently carrying out one of the most far-reaching programs in Venezuela, which has the recognition of multilateral bodies and humanitarian agencies of the United Nations and the European Union.
