What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We are aiming to become better at fundraising and marketing our team. We strive to help fund our K-9 Medical Fund which is used in an emergency for working K-9's on the team. We also continue to raise funds to cover our training and certification costs. The team has also looked into new equipment to help the team function more efficiently. This equipment included GPS collars for the K-9's as well as GPS units for the handlers.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Sarasota K-9 Search and Rescue has a great reputation with local and other state law enforcement. We hope to continue our success and improve where we are lacking. We hope to improve the marketing and fundraising for the team's expenses.

We are participating in the 2017 Giving Challenge as well as GuideStar opportunities. We are also working to improve our website. The team has also accepted a partnership with local companies that support our cause.

We have designated individual team members to focus on fundraising opportunities. It is also expected that all team members bring attention to opportunities that they find.

We have updated our profiles on appropriate websites. We have continued to apply for grants that we have applied for in the past. We have continued to keep our contract with Sarasota County.
We are working on updating our website and legal documents that regulate the organization.
