What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Care Management
The Care Management program offers intensive case management to some of South Florida’s most at-risk residents, including persons who are legally incapacitated. Using regular visitation, counseling, service coordination and advocacy, our care managers ensure that program participants receive all the services they need as well as dignified and compassionate treatment from other service providers.
The goal of the program is to provide highly individualized services that allow clients to maximize their independence while maintaining the proper support to keep them safe. The populations we serve are often struggling to simply manage life and negotiate their way through the social service and healthcare arenas.
Financial & Entitlements Services
The personalized financial services of MonarchCare ensure clients’ safety and reduce their risk of exploitation, eviction, bankruptcy and/or homelessness. Program services range from simple training in daily money management skills to formal appointment as payee or fiduciary. The program also provides benefits counseling and application assistance to persons who may be unaware, confused or overwhelmed by the healthcare and/or financial system. MonarchCare has worked in partnership with city community services programs providiing financial literacy one-on-one counseling, referrals, and workshops to families and seniors.
Guardianship
This program provides guardianship services to incapacitated persons, as well as support services to those serving as guardian for their family member or friend. Sometimes the court appoints MonarchCare as legal guardian when families disagree, or the existing guardian must be removed. Mostly, we serve individuals who have no one else willing or able to assist them with their health, financial or personal care needs. Many consumers in this program also receive care management services.
Trustee Services
MonarchCare is often the "trustee of last resort" when no financial institution wants to serve either due to the meager funds left in the trust or the challenges of dealing with the trust beneficiary and/or the family and friends of the beneficiary.
