Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To establish a premier media organization that can share the timeless faith of Christ with the world. As Churches are emptying of the faithful we have to ask ourselves why we are not relevant to their needs and also find out how we can do a better job utilizing all effective means of communication to offer the faith to inspire the next generation of faithful.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are incorporating the best minds in the field of the production of relevant uplifting content, social media utilization for sharing content, not for profit fundraising. The Orthodox Christian Network provides opportunities to listen, watch and connect in ways that encourage the growth of the Orthodox Faith and Community. Our radio shows provide a variety of topics and perspectives on Orthodox and secular life as well as Orthodox News and Liturgical Music. Our Live Streaming worship and classes allow our community to share in services with other members of the Orthodox Faith worldwide and grow in their knowledge of Orthodoxy. Our Blog's mission is to support the well-being of our readers by providing well-written, positive, and thought-provoking Orthodox content and fostering discussion of its application to life. Our OCN social media platforms allow our followers to pray, celebrate, learn and connect with the World Wide Orthodox community. We are meeting with public relations, business scorecard, and technological experts in the field today to see who we can best deliver the faith to the average parishioners and those who are seeking a deeper understanding of the faith using contemporary means to do so.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
OCN has created space for professional staff, a think tank to develop what content we want to create, how to do so and what talent to use. Our Board of Directors and staff are constantly meeting to see where opportunities for growth can emerge.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
As we celebrate the 25 year anniversary of our founding we are pleased to have become a hub for Orthodoxy Christians and those that may have fallen away from Christ with content that is relevant to their lives. We have made significant progress in creating partnerships and developing new programs for today’s modern world.
