Trust for Virgin Islands Lands Inc

The Trust for Virgin Islands Lands (TVIL) delivers land trust programs including developing land conservation projects, participating in community conservation and stewardship initiatives, and educating and raising support for conservation and stewardship with the general public. TVIL engages the public by hosting community gatherings, participating in community conservation efforts and meeting with prospective land donors. During consideration of land acquisition projects, the land trust visits and evaluates each property to ensure the land offers conservation values aligned with the mission of the organization. Thorough due diligence is completed during each land acquisition transaction. TVIL ensures that properties acquired and held for conservation stewardship have thorough conservation values documentation, are monitored at least annually to ensure their protection, and have adequate liability insurance coverage.
