Founding member of SDC Coalition, with intent to preserve an additional 725 acres of open space and transfer state lands to Jack London State Historic Park and Sonoma County Regional Parks.

Where the World Begins: Sonoma Mountain Stories and Images is a comprehensive book about the ecology of Sonoma Mountain, including plants, geology, water, human history, visionaries, creatures, seasons, open space, and stories.
The book invites readers to explore our natural treasure at the heart of southern Sonoma County.
Approaching the mountain as a living presence, a refuge for wildlife and natural systems, and a source of inspiration, the book weaves together diverse local voices.
With a central text written by Arthur Dawson, this coffee-table-sized hardcover features 140 photographs, a dozen maps, and numerous quotes by people who know and love this inspiring mountain.
Published by Sonoma Mountain Preservation (SMP), a local non-profit organization, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. March 2019. ISBN 978-0-9972765-0-3
