What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Conservation

The Feather River Land Trust conserves ecologically and culturally important lands and waters in the Feather River Watershed. With grassroots relationships and strategic partnerships, we’re working to safeguard the Sierra Nevada’s largest source of water and ensure that biodiverse ecosystems remain intact and healthy for our shared future. We nurture and restore people’s relationship to land through nature-based education, recreation, and stewardship activities.

Learning Landscape is the Feather River Land Trust's conservation and education program designed to greatly enhance children's contact with the natural world, place-based learning, and hands-on stewardship experiences. We partner with public schools and visionary landowners to conserve and enhance natural areas as "outdoor classrooms" within 10-minute walk of every public school in the Feather River Watershed and support teachers to "teach from the land." The program has received state and national recognition.
