Mission

The Endorphin Power Company is dedicated to improving the lives of people, with special focus on the substance-dependent and homeless, thus alleviating many of the challenges faced by current emergency medical systems. Additional purposes are the promotion of mental and physical health through exercise, and the promotion of energy consciousness and volunteerism.

Endorphin Power Company

Founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2003 as a nonprofit agency, Endorphin Power Company is a transitional living program that offers a safe space for people experiencing homelessness as a result of substance abuse. EPC has a vast property that is drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free to promote total health.
EPC has 18 apartment units available as single units with their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Residents have the luxury of living in their own space for a few hundred dollars ($450) per month. Included in the rent are utilities, fitness center and Internet. The facility has its own community kitchen where residents and staff prepare their own food.
The calendar includes a wealth of activities and community meetings. EPC also has multiple daily activities and meetings such as various 12-Step meetings, Native American meetings, woman only meetings, free Yoga and much more are available to residents and the community.
Since exercise releases endorphins, which produce a natural “high,” many exercise classes are available to the residents including yoga, spin, Zumba, dance, etc. EPC also has a rock on campus. These are offered as exciting and different ways to explore the physical body’s boundaries.
EPC may be best described as a unique program that offers its clients a safe environment where they are encourage to set and reach goals. Clients can become more educated, physically fit and productive in ways that are meaningful to them.
