What we aim to solve
How and where can organizations find top talent in the field of marketing? How can more first-generation students gain entry into the field of marketing? How can professors teach what's needed in the "real world" today? Marketing EDGE is the ONLY nonprofit that's a unique intersection between students, academics and corporations.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Collegiate Summits
The Collegiate Summit is an intensive student marketing conference program to be held in June in New York, NY open to rising juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing. It offers college students a chance to learn about ‘big data’ and digital marketing and how they are changing marketing. Students also learn how those changes will provide for new career opportunities once they graduate. Students meet and network with professionals, and learn what they can do and how to prepare for a career in a marketing field that is increasingly data driven.
Student Career Forums
Student Career Forums offer students the chance to attend a special seminar, participating in an interactive talk with marketing experts. Focusing on careers in the field of data-driven marketing, the Forum offers valuable strategies on landing a job in today’s tough marketplace. You will get tips on job hunting and career opportunities.
Scholarships
Marketing EDGE is committed to providing educational opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students who are committed to pursuing an education in the field of marketing. A Marketing EDGE scholarship provides financial assistance and allows students to place their primary focus on pursuing educational goals.
Interactive Marketing Research Conference
Organized by Marketing EDGE and Texas A&M University's Center for Retail Studies at the Mays Business School, IMRC is intended to be the premier conference for digital and direct marketing and a unique event of interest to all researchers. In support of the Journal of Interactive Marketing, the event takes place in Houston from March 27-29, 2019. The event will be a small, elite gathering of academics along with a number of digital marketing practitioners working at the edge of the interactive marketing.
Marketing EDGE's Journal of Interactive Marketing serves as a catalyst for identifying issues and shaping ideas associated with the expanding electronic, interactive, and direct marketing environments. We publish leading-edge, high-quality and original results, methodologies, theories, concepts, models and applications on any aspect of interactive marketing.
One of the favorite aspects of the conference is the opportunity to network with similarly-minded colleagues. Included with the conference, Texas-style events are slated to be featured among this year's social activities.
Professors' Academy
The Marketing EDGE Professors’ Academy provides marketing educators and academic researchers with centralized access to some of the most valuable resources available in the area of integrated marketing. Membership provides online access to data sets, news, research, seminars and teaching materials.
Professors' Institute
Invitation-only annual conference that brings marketing academics and practitioners together to participate in a rich, collaborative environment - focused on advancing research agendas, networking, and improving how we prepare students for successful careers in marketing.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Established in 1966 as the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, D/B/A Marketing EDGE, 501(c)(3), is a non-profit educational organization solely supported by tax-deductible contributions. It is the only national nonprofit organization solely committed to introducing – and in fact, engaging – professors and college students in the thriving business of marketing.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our programs are designed to encourage participation by equipping professors with the most up-to-date educational resources, and preparing students for a successful career in this evolving field.
Today's complex data-driven, digital world demands young professionals with extensive knowledge, practical experience and business maturity as they prepare to enter the marketplace. To meet these evolving needs Marketing EDGE continues to evaluate and transform its programs to provide market-ready talent for our key corporate partners.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Marketing EDGE continues to closely manage its financial base to maintain its strong base for the long haul, while investing what is needed to execute programs designed to meet the industry's evolving landscape. The Board's gauge to enable this balance is through the management of our bottom line, which was achieved in FY2015.
In addition to close organizational management to achieve this result, the expertise and laser focus from our investment partners completes the picture. We're proud to continue our partnership with The Sardana Group of UBS as we keep a close watch on the national and global marketplace.
Lastly, as the industry landscape changes... so do our fundraising efforts. Earlier this year we introduced a dynamic new fundraising model — our Corporate Leadership Program — to significantly strengthen engagement among our key corporate partners. We look forward to telling you more about this and other initiatives in the months to come.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
For decades, this nonprofit organization has made tremendous strides in preparing young college students for the discipline, rigor and commitment necessary to ensure that this industry evolves and grows. Ensuring prepared, knowledgeable and passionate talent is the lifeblood of any field, and given the dramatic changes witnessed in the direct... digital... data-centric world we're in, perhaps no other profession has required the depth of support and constant learning than ours.
