Hospital Bienfaisance Operating Support

Promise for Haiti provides volunteers who serve and teach at Hospital Bienfaisance de Pignon.  In addition, Promise for Haiti helps pay hospital staff and helps purchase critical medicines, supplies, vehicles, and fuel.  In-kind donations of  equipment and supplies are provided by US volunteer teams.  Volunteer construction and engineering teams assist with building and maintaining structures.  Hospital Bienfaisance de Pignon provides community health services such as vaccination, maternal education, family planning, clean water, and sanitation.

Promise for Haiti's Haitian Education and Literacy Program (HELP) provides primary and secondary educational opportunities to the children of the Pignon area who would not otherwise have educational opportunities.  Meals and clean water are provided at each of the nine schools operated in the outlying areas.  Advanced scholarships are available to students who promise to return to serve in the area.
