Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Shelter Intake/ Adoption

Each cat admitted to Guardian Angels Cat Rescue & Adoption Shelter averages a cost of $90 to
Although an adoption fee is required for all cats, that fee is determined by geographic rates and barely covers half of the cost of admission. Average cost does not include medicines or other surgical costs beyond spay or neuter.

Population(s) Served

The purpose of this program is to promote the trapping and altering of feral or free roaming cats and return them to their original location using the following methods.

Cats that are caught using Guardian Angel's equipment must be transported to a veterinarian and must not be used with the intent to euthanize or otherwise kill the captured animal.

Population(s) Served

This program was implemented to assist low income individuals and families with either a pet cat in need of emergency/ urgent veterinary attention or individuals who have taken in a stray cat (often with kittens) with basic vaccination requirements.

The purpose of the program is to keep the pet within the home or to allow individuals to rehome the stray themselves. The benefit to the Shelter is that it is not encumbered by the long term housing of these animals.

The program mandates that any animal it assists, and any other companion animal within the home is spayed or neutered.
