TITANIC LIFEBOAT ACADEMY

A good spot to flock together

Astoria, OR   |  http://TitanicLifeboatAcademy.org

Mission

TLA formed in 2007 to provide educational programs, classes, information and demonstrations on sustainable living, appropriate technology, and alternative renewable energy, in order to educate the public about lifestyle options, sustainable living and the global dangers of environmental degradation. TLA offered classes, workshops, internships, and a website on emergencies prep, alternative energies and lifestyles, and building resilience against challenging times. After a decade, TLA anchored the Lifeboat in a safe harbor where visitors can enjoy a cup of sanity: a selection of the best substantiated videos, audios, website links, skillful articulate writing and satire, and some smiles to ease them on their paths. Welcome Aboard!

Notes from the nonprofit

Our nonprofit was small when it began in 2007, grew to include on-site, online and community programs through 2017, then downsized to a web-based presence in 2018 where it serves a global niche population.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

TLA aims to identify and augment those writers, scientists and videographers whose credentials and unbiased thinking are first rate, and whose insights prove a breath of fresh elucidation. Our goal is to inspire, fortify and welcoming those who defend all life through their work.

To contribute to and support free independent online journalism
To promote preparation and self-reliant living as the ultimate positive attitude
To provide respite, rejuvenation and inspiration to meet the planetary crises we face

TLA’s leadership share decades of advocacy, writing, and activism for life and our planet.

During 2018 and 2019, over sixty such writers, scientists and videographers have shared their work and some, their sites, with TLA’s small website.
