Programs and results
What we aim to solve
There are approximately 7.8 billion people in the world, and nearly half of them have yet to hear the Gospel. That's 3.23 billion people who have yet to make the decision as to whether or not they will give their life to Christ.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
National Missionaries
A National Missionary is an evangelist who preaches the Gospel on a full-time basis and is trained and supported by Reaching Souls' partners. We believe partnering with local leaders who reach their communities is the most effective way to reach the lost. We believe it will be Africans that reach Africa for Christ, Cuban who reach Cuba, and so on.
Candidates are recommended by our overseas leadership and then are extensively interviewed and vetted. Each candidate is already an evangelist, but Reaching Souls is able to enhance their work with finances, materials, and training.
As you read this, more than 2,000 evangelists, or National Missionaries, are reaching their people for Christ in the mission field…and the mission field is right where each evangelist lives. These evangelists know where to preach because they are preaching to their neighbors. There are no such things as language barriers or cultural miscues because the language and culture are their own. Follow-up with new Christians is simple and discipleship is natural because those being saved are their friends, cousins, grandparents, and fellow citizens.
Each evangelist is vetted, interviewed, and evaluated by Reaching Souls to make sure they are faithful, capable, and passionate about evangelism. Once they make it through the interview process, they become National Missionaries. We provide each National Missionary with training, a bike, portable speakers, financial support, and accountability.
In 2020, our National Missionaries led 8,157,791 people to Jesus, planted 5,102 new churches, and our cost per salvation was $0.60. In other words, for every $0.60 spent by Reaching Souls, an individual came to know Jesus.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
While there is much good to be done in the world, our mission is simple: we exist to reach the maximum number of people for Christ in the least amount of time in the most efficient way.
By providing leadership training, financial support, and accountability, we empower local pastors and evangelists to reach their home communities with the Gospel.
When it comes to sharing the Gospel with the world, there is no time to waste. We work hard to maximize our resources through strategic planning and the careful monitoring of our work in order to reach the greatest number of people for Christ every day.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We believe that partnering with local leaders who are relationally connected to their communities is not only the most effective way to share the Gospel but also the most affordable. This is strategic evangelism. Our National Missionaries are equipped with the local language and the cultural and spiritual context of their communities, which provide strong foundations for evangelism to take root and discipleship to occur naturally.
By providing leadership training, financial support, and accountability, we empower local pastors and evangelists to reach their home communities with the Gospel.
The value of a soul is priceless, and while no equation can quantify the eternal value of salvation through Christ, we know for every $0.60 invested by donors, an individual comes to know Christ.
When it comes to sharing the Gospel with the world, there is no time to waste. We work hard to maximize our resources through strategic planning and the careful monitoring of our work in order to reach the greatest number of people for Christ every day.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We currently have more than 2,000 indigenous evangelists working full-time as National Missionaries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at least 12 times per month. On average they lead 360 people to Jesus each month. Our foundation is built upon more than 35 years of investing in faithful men who have invested in other faithful men. Our infrastructure and accountability system is well established and strong.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have been training evangelists for more than 35 years and supporting them for more than 25. During that time, God has allowed us to see more than 90 million individuals make a decision to place their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and receive eternal life. Also, during that time, we have planted more than 50,000 new churches. Our mandate is a race against the clock. The harvest has a season and we are working diligently in our Lord's harvest fields. We are reaching as many as we can for as long as we can before our time is up. We have many requests to expand into new countries and new continents. As the Lord provides and guides, we will go.
