Mission

The mission of Norman Regional Health Foundation is to "enhance excellent health care" in south-central Oklahoma. The Foundation advances the mission and vision of Norman Regional Health System. The Health System's mission is to "serve our community as the leader in health and wellness care." This aligns with its vision to “be the provider of choice to improve the health and well-being of our regional communities." The Foundation supports this mission by advancing patient programs, awarding scholarships and funding community health initiatives.

Foundation Scholarship Program

Norman Regional Health Foundation provides scholarships to local students pursuing careers in the health system-related industries.

Norman Regional Health Foundation distributes grant funding to enhance patient care, to improve the overall quality of health care delivery, and to support public health programs in the community at large.

The Norman Regional Health Foundation manages the Employee Care Fund. Donations to this fund are used by Norman Regional Health System’s Employee Care Committee to distribute direct assistance to employees who have experience a catastrophic loss. May it be the loss of a loved one, a fire or a natural disaster like the series of tornadoes that devastated much of central Oklahoma in May of 2013. Donations for the Employee Care Fund are accepted by the foundation and distributed by the Care Committee as quickly as possible according to their standard allocations.

The Norman Regional Health Foundation supports community health and wellness initiatives. This program includes funding health providers in every Norman public school, hosting an annual free flu shot clinic, purchasing equipment such as AEDs and tourniquet kits for area schools in Norman, Moore and Noble.
