The major operating programs at the shelter are the following: 1. Daily Animal Care: We care for approximately 400 pets each day. The operational costs are astounding. 2. Veterinarian care: spay surgeries, neuter surgeries, minor other surgeries, vaccinations. 3. Administration: Adoption counselors and office staff are needed to answer phones, work with the public, work with potential adopters, work new pets into the shelter, track adoption paperwork, update animal biographies on the internet, take pictures of the animals on a weekly basis, track donations, send correspondence to donators, and answer questions regarding adoptions. 4. Volunteer Coordination: We are mainly a volunteer-run organization and so we have a large staff of volunteers to organize and recruit for animal care, animal adoption fairs at local PetSmart stores, feline care throughout the week at PetSmart Adoption Centers, pet fostering program, and adoption counselors. 5. PetSmart Adoption Centers: Our organization partners with 4 PetSmart stores in the Oklahoma Metro area. We take adoptable felines to the stores throughout the week where they can be adopted from the PetSmart stores. We care for the felines throughout the week and return them to the shelter if they are not adopted. 6. We provide low cost spay/neuter services to the public at certain times throughout the year.
