Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We aim to educate the community about the pet overpopulation problem and ways to help prevent it. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering pets. All of this while saving as many Boxers as we can. Our programs are successful in medically clearing each pet, providing rehabiliations for the sick and injured, and placing them in loving forever homes.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have a streamlined intake process. When an intake takes place, and full medical workup is done. If necessary, a treatment plan is put into place and the animal is placed into either our volunteer ran shelter or a foster home. Every effort is given to rehabilite, love, train, and nurture the dog before starting the adoption process. Our adoption program starts with an adoption application. Once the applicant is approved, our adoption coordinator starts the rewarding task of matching of the family with the perfect dog, or vice versa. Our goal is to place each dog into a forever home.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have many program and policies in place that keep things moving. Intake, medical, foster, volunteer, adoption, special events, and fundraising directors are all working to keep the wheel moving. Operating a resuce has many moving parts and we have the best volunteers executing their area of responsibility to the best of their ability.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The number of succesful adoptions over the years is a huge accomplishment for our organization. Our fundraisers have been succesful, but like most non-profits the money goes out just as quickly as it comes in. Unfortunatly, there will always been a continued need for animal rescue.
