SWUSITT Annual Winter Symposium
Two day intensive technology driven symposium covering a wide range of theatre technology areas. Industry professionals present lectures and demonstrations within a variety of disciplines.
SWUSITT Student Design, Technology, and Management Competition
Through this competition, open only to student members, students are given one-on-one feedback upon their presented work from industry professionals, while having the chance to compete for a variety of prizes and scholarships provided by our regional sponsors and vendors.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The mission and goal of SWUSITT is to promote Theatre Design, Technology and Education as a right to every individual.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
By focusing on educational and experiential opportunities for our members and fostering the ideals of volunteerism, mentorship and service, we provide the ability for our members to broaden their knowledge and personal experience of Theatre Design and Technology.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Through outreach to current and potential members, partnering with regional and national vendors, and industry professional's SWUSITT has seen it's membership double over the past 5 years. By partnering with other organizations with similar missions we are able to provide unique opportunities for our members.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Over the past 5 years, SWUSITT has seen its corporate donations and community/industry involvement dramatically increase. Through the establishment of a scholarship endowment, and long term partnerships with community leaders SWUSITT has seen a sustained membership body. SWUSITT is still working on long term membership retention and involvement.
