What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Residential TTC

The Transitional Treatment Center is a Phase I Transition (TTC) funded by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) whose structured environment follows the therapeutic community (TC) treatment model. The program is designed to provide a positive, safe, and caring setting offering education, support, and guidelines in assisting the ex-offender’s effective transition back into the community.

Population(s) Served

The Intensive Outpatient Treatment program is designed to meet the needs of adults and youth who have been screened and are in need of substance abuse treatment. Clients must be medically and mentally stable, and willing to commit to a program of abstinence. BVCASA uses the Matrix program, which is an evidence based program as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Population(s) Served

Provide prevention services, such as education, data collection, training, coalition building, reporting, and coordination. Prevention programs include the Tobacco Coalition, Blinn Coalition, Zero Tolerance Coalition, Youth Prevention Services (All Stars and Toward No Drugs curricula), Prevention Resource Center for Region 7, and Drug Free Communities.

Population(s) Served

The Supportive Outpatient Continuum of Care (SOCC) program is designed as a continuum of care for adults who have completed substance abuse treatment (Phase I & II) of a Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF). Clients must be medically and mentally stable, and willing to commit to a program of abstinence.
