What we aim to solve
Many women and families in our community who experience unplanned pregnancies feel they have few options. Most don't realize the resources available to them.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Abortion Recovery Program
True Care's Abortion Recovery Program helps women and men find freedom and healing from regret, guilt or anger due to a past abortion.
Baby and Me Program: Parenting
True Care's Baby and Me Program is open to primarily to patients of the Clinic who are pregnant for the first time and plan to parent or make an adoption plan for their babies after they are born. Patients meet with a True Care advocate throughout their pregnancies and are educated and equipped to prepare for birth. They earn an incentive item such as a new crib, other baby item, or gift certificate for completing the program. Fathers of the babies are welcome and can also earn gift certificates for completing the Fathering in Fifteen Program.
Baby and Me: Adoption
The adoption part of True Care's Baby and Me Progarm is open to any pregnant woman who wants to learn more about adoption. True Care is not an adoption agency, but we provide education about this option. Patients earn $75.00 in gift certificates for completing the program.
Feminine Genius
Feminine Genius teaches women to value and protect their fertility.
Resource Program
The purpose of this program is to connect patients with resources in the community to ensure a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby.
Pregnancy Testing/Pregnancy Options
The Center offers free pregnancy testing/confirmation of pregnancy using ultrasound, limited sexually transmitted disease testing and education on all pregnancy options.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goals are to attract and serve women who are at-risk for choosing abortion and to see them choose to carry their babies to term.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
To develop and maintain accurate and relevant services to women at-risk for choosing abortion in an organizational environment made up of three main department (e.g. Patient Resources, Medical Services and Advancement) led by content expert professionals who each assemble teams (paid and volunteer) for the purpose of accomplishing the mission as it relates to their respective departments.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our linear service process allows us to serve patients in a consistent and relevant manner that begins at the time they schedule an appointment and continues throughout their pregnancies. We have staff and volunteers trained to educate our patients on all of their options as well as 4 nurses trained in limited obstetrical ultrasound. Our Resource Coordinator is able to connect patients with resources in the community and to help them apply for Medicaid, if needed. The Baby and Me Program, where we walk through the pregnancy with a patient, allows us to prepare them for parenting or to make an adoption plan.
Our Advancement Department conducts monthly tours of our facility in an effort to identify people who are passionate about our mission and who may be interested in giving their time and/or talent. Those who are interested are cultivated and then asked to support us by making a multi-year, monthly gift. We do several fundraisers each year that supply that part of our budget not covered by individual donations, church donation or grants.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2018 we performed 310 pregnancy tests and 86% were positive. Ninety-seven percent of those patients who had a positive test were assessed as abortion-vulnerable, abortion- minded or abortion-determined. Seventy-seven percent of our at-risk patients chose to carry their babies to term.
Forty-seven percent of our income in 2018 came from fundraising. We are slowly making progress in accomplishing our goal of sustainable funding, but there is much work to be done.
