What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Self-Discovery Program
Although there are organizations that provide services to pregnant mothers, there are very few if any that try to empower the mothers to be to be self-sufficient and motivate them to stop the cycle of poverty and dependency. This is done in conjunction with an educational component and an in-home follow-up counseling. The biggest challenge is to stop the cycle of dependency and the lack of self-motivation for these mothers. Most agencies are providing a daily “fish” and are not dealing with the root cause and teaching the women to “how to fish”. There is a cycle of poverty and dependency that is passed on to generations. There is a great problem of children having children and multiple children at a young age without a purpose or goals to better themselves or their children. Sav-Baby intervenes in this cycle by minimizing some financial stress while providing counseling and guidance into self-sufficiency. All of this is done only after the participants show a desire and willingness to make a positive change. The program is based on a “reward” system and not on a “hand-out”.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The goal of Sav-Baby Inc. DBA: Save Families is to engage families to become Self-empowered.
We are providing long-term solutions and not just Band-Aid to issues and concerns of our clients.
The SEP program engages those individuals that are seeking to get out of their current environment and seek a better life for them and their families.
We are aiming to set the foundation for those individuals that want to be financially stable.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Partner and collaborate with other nonprofits to promote and present the Self-Empowerment Program (SEP) to their staff and/or their clients.
We also will do presentations to the general public and teach the program through Adult Learning Education programs.
We will create a supporting SEP club that can be part of their long-term change. We are currently working with other non-profits to provide this program and also develop avenues to share the program with the general public by doing presentations through the Continuing Education programs through local colleges and universities.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have done a similar program with over 1,100 women. We also have developed the program and the presentation and have began to Beta tested.
Our leadership has tested the program and are examples of the effectiveness of the SEP. We have personal testimonies of women that went from welfare to getting a job to being entrepreneurs.
The agency has some resources and will apply for grants and other supports to implement this new and unique program.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have done one presentation and still negotiating with other nonprofits to begin the program.
We are writing grants to help us grow the program and be able to test it out in the community.
