Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Cold Weather Shelter for Women
Freeze nights emergency shelter for women who are homeless. This program uses Trinity Center's facility, but coordinated by St. David's Episcopal Church.
Woman to Woman
Woman to Woman (W2W): Mondays : Devotion time, breakfast, fellowship, and free clothes pairing female neighbors and female volunteers. Tuesdays: devotion time, breakfast, fellowship, shower access, and financial assistance for women, covering the cost of IDs, birth certificates, Rx, We also offer a weekly support group a for woman.
Trinity Streets
Worship service and meal shared by neighbors and volunteers from various faith communities in Austin
Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N)
Wed-Fri program for both men & women. Devotion time, breakfast, fellowship, light lunch, case management , social service information and referral, computer access, free local and long distance phone. Financial assistance covering the cost of re/establishing picture ID documents; help with co-pay for medication; help with long distance travel; Outreach space for essential services offered by partner organizations to people who are homeless.
Direct Assistance
Financial assistance and instructional guidance with obtaining identification cards, birth certificates, prescription costs; distribution of bus passes and non-prescription reading glasses.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1. Serving people who are homeless with compassion, even as the organization grows.
2. Being an advocate, city wide) for increase in PSH (permanent Supportive Housing).
3. Increase revenue from corporations and businesses.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. Just completed strategic planning for the next 5 years.
2. Following strategic plan, board members committed to connect Trinity Center with corporations and businesses known to them.
3. Board members committed to bring at least 1-2 new guests to the yearly fundraising event.
4. Staff, mainly ED and Case Management Supervisor, attend city-wide focused meetings.
5. Staff meet weekly and on a yearly two-day-retreat to assess programs, attitude and performance in according to the agency's mission and vision.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Both staff and board are deeply committed to the unique approach of Trinity Center to service.
The budget allows for trainings.
Board members were deeply engaged in the recent strategic planning and seems re-committed to the growth of the agency as detailed in the SP.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Trinity Center is known well and used by all other service providers to the population of people who are homeless in Austin.
A strong positive feedback was given very recently (March-April 2018) by partnering agencies, service seekers, staff and volunteers that was a part of a strategic plan that Trinity Center just completed.
Our services, as well as our budget and revenues increased in each of the last consecutive seven years.
We doubled the budget for direct financial assistance to the people we serve and we are at capacity in how many people come to Trinity Center each day.
