What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The purpose of the Business Ethics Alliance is to promote an environment where the discussion and practice of ethics is encouraged and expected in our community. We aim to establish Omaha as the center of business ethics excellence. The Alliance has a unique and timely opportunity to make a measured, positive difference throughout the Greater Omaha business community and to serve as a model for ethical cities around the world.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
• Assist in building leadership, strengthening organizations, and elevating Greater Omaha through positive, practical business ethics education programming and workshops.
• Continue to increase our reach by providing programs and services to broader, more diverse audiences and organizations.
• Prepare emerging leaders in organizations to see that practicing ethics is a lynchpin to becoming a successful businessperson in our community.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
• The Alliance hosts eight community programs throughout the year tailored to different audiences with topics and speakers that teach ethics tools that attendees can take back and implement within their organization.
• The Alliance has staff and partners which help provide services to business to help train their teams on ethical leadership, decision-making, blind-spots, and more.
• Together, the Trustees and the Business Ethics Alliance fully support the Omaha business core values of Integrity, Accountability, Community Responsibility, Moral Courage, and Financial Vitality and uphold the highest standards and professionalism that is expected.
