Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society

Alpha Chi's mission is to channel creativity and curiosity into scholarship and service.

Subsidizing annual student conferences through a network of national and regional grants, running an annual academic competition for scholarships for continued education, offering grants to chapters for scholarly, on-campus programs, recognizing the service of chapter advisors, offering a peer-reviewed journal for undergraduate work, and encouraging and recognizing healthy and active chapters.

Alpha Chi maintains a small staff at a centralized office in Little Rock, Arkansas. The executive director works with this staff and 22-23 elected board members to see that Alpha Chi continues working toward its mission.

Since 1922, for nearly 100 years, Alpha Chi has proven to be an incredible organization dedicated to making scholarship effective for good. Administered at the chapter level almost exclusively by volunteer faculty advisors, our chapters have inducted nearly 500,000 members worldwide, many of whom have gone on to become important educators, leaders, artists, scientists, and justice advocates--changing this world for the better. If Alpha Chi can continue this pattern, the possibilities for improving the world through meaningful scholarship are endless.
