Beginning Experience® Weekend

The Beginning Experience® Weekend program creates the time and space to delve deeply into the emotional aftermath of the loss of a spousal relationship. Through listening, writing, and sharing, the participants explore the various aspects of the grief journey in a safe and caring environment. Participants are encouraged to look in new ways at their current circumstances, reevaluate themselves, and move forward with hope.
The Weekend is the core program and the foundation of the Beginning Experience® ministry. Each licensed team in must offer at least one program per year. Teams may be found on our website under the Programs tab.

In the Beginning…Coping with Life Alone is a one-day introductory program designed to help those who are grieving the loss of a spousal relationship due to death, divorce or separation. The program helps the participants begin to deal with the loss and focus on what lies ahead. It is a day of support for those who are seeking hope and healing. While it is intended to assist those newly grieving, all are welcome to attend.
This program may be offered in person or online; it is the decision of the local team as to which format to use.

Moving Forward with Hope…Coping with Life Alone is a 10-week program designed to help those who are grieving the loss of a spousal relationship due to death, divorce, or separation. This program helps participants explore the impact of their loss and how to handle the feelings that accompany it. This program can be the beginning of the healing process.
This program may be offered in person or online; it is the decision of the local team as to which format to use.

Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends is a 10-week, in-depth program of relationship insight and self- awareness. The program helps participants come to know, accept, and understand themselves on a deeper level. The book, Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends, by Dr. Bruce Fisher and Dr. Robert Alberti, is the foundation of the program. The participants are encouraged to use “rebuilding blocks” to work through the stages of grief after their loss and create a new future.

This program is normally offered in person but the local team may choose to offer it online. Please see the website under the Programs tab for more information.

Building Happiness is a 10-week program for those who are looking to take ownership of their own happiness after the end of their spousal relationship through death, separation, or divorce. This program helps participants better understand themselves and how they relate to others. Participants are invited to examine their approach to being happy and to realize that personal happiness can be found from within.
This program may be offered in person or online; it is the decision of the local team which format to use. Please see the website under the Programs tab for more information.
