The mission of Hope's Door New Beginning Center is to offer intervention and prevention services to individuals and families affected by intimate partner and family violence and to provide education programs that enhance the community's capacity to respond. Emergency Shelters

HDNBC has 2 emergency shelters in confidential locations that provide all basic living necessities such as food, clothing, toiletries, towels, etc. As well as providing basic living necessities, the emergency shelter provides safety planning, case management, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, specialized children's programs, and connection to area resources.

HDNBC serves all victims of domestic abuse regardless of gender, sex, or sexual orientation.

The Counseling Center at Hope's Door also provides individual and group counseling to adult and child survivors of Domestic Violence. Play therapy, individual counseling and group therapy are available to child witnesses of domestic violence.

The Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) is a court-approved 24-week program designed to hold perpetrators of domestic violence accountable for their actions and reduce their potential of re-offending. The program is designed to give clients the tools they need to achieve healthy intimate relationships. The probation/parole officers and/or the court system frequently refer or order clients to participate in this program.

This Program provides pro-bono family law representation to victims of domestic violence. Clients often require family law representation to help them obtain protective orders, child custody, child support, and/or divorce Without this program, many clients would appear before courts without any legal representation.

The goal of this program is to ensure that victims of domestic violence receive quality legal representation in the area of family law. By providing this service, Hope’s Door New Beginning Center increases the safety of domestic violence victims by offering options and resources necessary to escape abusive relationships.

Adults

The Transitional Living Program provides up to 12-months of rental assistance to clients who have recently left the Emergency Shelter Program. Clients in the program also continue to receive counseling services, case management, and other services when necessary.
