What we aim to solve
We support over 50 programs to support the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. This adds to their quality of life, but also helps to retain the students as cadets. As the Corps numbers have fallen since the pandemic the CCA has partnered with the University to give more funding to support the Corps. We have increased our spending the last two years for programs as well as recruiting to help with the March to 3000 campaign. Starting in 2023, we will be giving the Corps of Cadets a percentage of our profits quarterly to help to defray the extra costs that are associated with joining the Corps versus a student who is not in the Corps. Currently it costs about $1000 more a year to be a member in the Corps. The main reason for this is the cost of uniforms and equipment.

Rally to the Guidons is our annual Corps Weekend where we invite former cadets members to come to Aggieland and march with the current cadets for a pass and review. Note in 2023 we had 1269.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We will help promote and perpetuate the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets, so that the Corps will remain strong in numbers (2500+) at Texas A&M to help recruit, retain and reconnect cadets. By being a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets virtuous leadership and ethics is the foundation of the Corps which is build upon the 6 core values of the Corps: honor, integrity, discipline, courage, respect and selfless service. Students entering the Corps will have 100% participation in leadership learning lab that will produce leaders of strong virtue and high ethical standards for our leaders of tomorrow--not just military but leaders in the private sector as well. The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is a national treasure and we intend to help build it and promote it to improve the leadership for our future.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
To accomplish our mentioned goals, this year we initiated a successful campaign to grow our membership by 2000 members to further increase our spending on the Corps. This campaign was successful in asking our current members to sponsor a buddy or membership so that we could grow our base of income with the increasing number of cadets. We set a goal of 2000 and we reached that goal in October with our event, Rally to the Guidons--where we had 400 new members join us for that event.
We have also devoted time and resources to developing our Hollingsworth 1876 Society, which is our highest donor level. In 2021 we were able to increase this level by more than double from the previous years. In 2022, we will again double that number from our 2021 numbers. By increasing our Hollingsworth donors, this gives us the flexibility to put more funding into the programs that the Commandant wants and needs. Some examples of these programs that we have been able to assume responsibility of because of our donors is the Boot Loan program and the Corps Volunteer Recruiting Program. Both of these programs were initially under the Commandant's office, but now fall under our Association.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We will partner with other University organizations to join the March to 3000 campaign to increase the number of cadets as well as increase our funding of the programs we sponsor. In addition, we are spreading our reach to include non former cadets as well as former students. The Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M is a national treasure. It molds young men and women into leaders of integrity and character for our nation. This kind of leadership development is not found in many places. By increasing our reach we will raise awareness as well as additional funding to continue our mission.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2022 we launched a new publication called The Ross Review. This is a free publication with noteworthy speeches given to cadets that is sent out every quarter. It has increased our number of individuals that we market too, thus creating more funding. In addition, we have published our first Annual Report for 2020 to inform our members where their gifts are being spent, which has increased funding as our members know that we are a good steward of their money. We have also established a prestigious premium member level that has brought awareness to the upper level of giving.
We are publishing a full magazine Annual Report this year in February and we have been able to raise nearly 3 million dollars this year to put towards our mission for the cadets.
