What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Seasonal Programming
Currently, Echo Theatre presents 2 main stage productions each season. All of these plays are written by women. Echo produces 6 additional staged readings throughout each year. Each reading is performed twice: once at our home venue, and once at another venue in an underserved area of Dallas. This enables us to take the art to the people. Echo hosts a talkback with the director and actors after each of the readings, giving our audience an opportunity to discuss these scripts and learn about the art of theater with the people who create it. We also produce 12 episodes of Echo Offstage, a podcast that spends an hour talking with impactful women of theatre. Directors, playwrights, designers and producers have joined our host to talk theater and solve the world's problems. We also produce projects that pique our interest; often partnering with other local arts groups.
