SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1998, DAAYO'S MISSION AS A NONPROFIT HAS BEEN TO DEVELOP YOUTHS OF HIGH MUSICAL ABILITY AND OUTSTANDING CHARACTER THROUGH A MUSICALLY ADVANCED, PROFESSIONALLY RUN YOUTH ORCHESTRA WHICH DELIGHTS AND SERVES THE NORTH TEXAS COMMUNITY. OUR ORCHESTRA FEATURES A DISTINCTIVE ASIAN FLAIR TO ITS REPERTOIRE, AND IS COMPRISED OF YOUTHS FROM ALL CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED A PERFORMANCE OF ANTONN DVOK'S NEW WORLD SYMPHONY (SYMPHONY NO. 9), MVT.I BY OUR PHILHARMONIC AND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, PYOTR ILYICH TCHAIKOVSKY'S CAPRICCIO ITALIEN, OP.45, AND A NEW HOME BY MODERN COMPOSER DEREK ZHAO. IN ADDITION, THIS CONCERT ALSO FEATURED SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE FROM THE PLANO COMMUNITY BAND, A LOCAL ADULT AMATEUR COMMUNITY BAND.
