National Vietnam War Museum
To promote an understanding of the Vietnam Era while honoring those who served
Memorial Wall Ceremony
A ceremony every year honoring those that served throughout this area with an included updating of our memorial wall. Our 1/2 scale wall is considered the most up to date replica memorial.
Educational Tours
Guided tour of the museum's exhibits typically with a paired Vietnam Veteran. These tours are aimed to bridge the gap of knowledge about this era with youth groups as well as provide a space for other Vietnam Veterans to come and talk about their experience with others that served to help heal.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We intend to build a world class museum dedicated to providing the facts of the Vietnam War and the Vietnam Era. We have already begun the telling part and are in the early stages of the capital campaign to build the world class facility
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our first step was to create the web site that attracts questions. We are continuously answering questions about the Vietnam War and Era from scholars, and the general public. This forces us to begin the research to answer the questions that are on the public mind.
Our next step was to begin exhibits in our temporary facility using our 300 sq ft gallery. We typically entertain approximately 15,000 visitors each year from 40 states in the U.S. and 7 other countries.
We our now beginning our third step to build a world class facility. Phase 1 is a story building with 18,000 sq ft. The building can expand in phases to 80,000 sq ft as needed
Final step is to acquire full time staff with credentials to continue the work begun by our volunteers
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We are an all volunteer force, so our cost is minimized for all of our work. Last year we had 40 volunteers who provided a total of more than 5,000 hours. We have educators, historians, many Vietnam veterans, and family members of Vietnam veterans who are dedicated to building the museum and researching the facts we need. That provides us with a workforce producing almost 3 man years of normal work hours.
We own 12 acres, a half size Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall that is kept current with the main wall in Washington DC.. many large artifacts and memorials on hand already to honor our veterans and educate the public
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have built a half size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall surrounded by a forest of Arizona Cypress. We have acquired the Camp Holloway Wall that is a replica of the one built in Pleiku Vietnam during the war and destroyed by the North Vietnamese Army. We have a Visitor Center staffed by volunteers 7 days a week. We have a great many artifacts large and small. We have produced two successful external art exhibits on art of the Vietnam War. We have also produced two internal art exhibits based on works of a Combat Artist and a Combat Photographer (Vietnam Veterans). We have produced three internal historical exhibits in our current gallery: The Kent State Shooting, Southern Airways, and POW Camps of the Vietnam War. We have other exhibits in progress: Canadians in the Vietnam War, The Korean Army in the Vietnam War, POWs of the Vietnam War. Those works will be completed in the next year or two. A planned exhibit not yet started is "Jane Fonda" What we have not yet accomplished is raising the $1 million to build phase one of our permanent structure. We began the capital campaign in the spring of 2015 and have $300,000 in the bank or pledged in the spring of 2016.
