Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Farmers Coopertive Program

KinderUSA supports indigent Palestinians through empowerment and nutrition by distributing fresh food baskets to families with children stocked by locally produced dairy, fresh poultry, vegetables, and jams.

Working in the West Bank and Gaza,  women cooperatives run by female heads of household provide fresh dairy, pressed dates, cous cous, thyme, and jams to beneficiary baskets while supporting their own families. Through training and capacity building, women cooperatives become self-sustaining within a two year period marketing their goods to the community at large.

A second pillar of the program is working with small scale farmers who work their land to produce fresh fruit and vegetables while caring for often extended families of 12 or more. These farmers have struggled to maintain their lands and keep them productive. With these farmers are poultry farmers who provide 2-3  live chickens  with every food basket.
