Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Right Choices mission is to prevent among our youth all forms of abuse, homelessness, drug /substance and gang involvement /violence through education and (re)socialization. Our motivating programs are design to help young at risk males to make right choices in their lives. Our focus is to encourage these young men to live lives of integrity, have basic life skills, goal setting and management, leadership, and social responsibility.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Identify each participant's personal needs by develop goal setting strategies to respond to their challenges. Respond to increasing demand for services by enlisting more volunteers and staff and improving our current programs. We are in the planning stages of replacing our current data base with a new and improved data base to measure our performance and successes with each participant in our programs. Right Choices is also in the planning stages of identifying, reaching out to and collaborating with other nonprofits and agencies to help us identify other best practices to help us measure our performance so we can improve on our current programs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
With a 20 year track record of success, Right Choices, Inc. is uniquely positioned to continue and accomplish its mission. Right Choices, Inc. does not currently have any paid staff, but has a volunteer staff of 15 innovative, committed, experienced and talented individuals that work tirelessly to help Right Choices, Inc. to meet its program(s) objectives. The future of Right Choices, Inc. is healthy, but we continue to seek support from donors and foundations to continue to provide the innovative and motivating programs that place the young at risk males we serve on a path towards a successful future.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
• On Going Accomplishment: To improve our program(s) content, performance and participant success rate. This is top priority.
• Finish Building our Brand.
• Continue to identify and partnering and collaborating with other nonprofits and agencies for Best Practices.
• Expand our office space and/or add a second location by late 2016
• Advance fundraising: We are identifying new opportunities to increase contributions. Understanding the giving habits and giving decisions within various segments. Our goal is to have sustained support of $250000.00 by 2020
• We are using more Social Media to promote Right Choices Inc.
• We improved our Music and Video Program by adding new equipment.
• We have improved our Resource/Job Search Program by adding more computers.
Although we are tremendously energized and excited about the direction of Right Choices, Inc., we comprehend that we have a long crossing ahead.
