What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
The Wellness Program offers a non-clinical approach to address muscle loss due to disease or condition by concentrating on the body, mind and spirit. The Lazarus House blends a researched program of exercise, nutrition, mental, and spiritual awareness to address the distresses associated with cachexia, or disease related muscle wasting. Each client receives a program developed for his/her specific needs and situation. Progressive resistance exercise addresses the loss of muscle, cardiopulmonary exercise increases endurance, nutrition enhances gains of lean body mass, and mental/spiritual direction ensure a balance of wellness. The Wellness Program was developed to help individuals increase muscle, improve energy and function, and ultimately, improve the quality of life.
