Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

While we have added new programs to better serve students in our local community, for example, we have elevated our Highway Clean-up program by opening it up to, not only to, high school and college students, but to individuals that may need their community hours fulfilled.
Our Youth group has been opening more events to children. For example, the Painting Youth events, skating, events, and this year we'll be hosting our first Food and Clothing Drive for Kern County's less fortunate children. The Contreras Governing Board plans to give more to our scholarship applicants not just financial need. There are many teachers, entrepreneurs, medical folks, and veterans in the Contreras organization in which we would like to provide some type of Mentoring program/assistance.

Fortunately we have gained the support from our local media: television and radio stations. We have taken advantage of social media and its potential. Officers within the Contreras Organization have gone out into the community and have networked with local social groups.

The Contreras Foundation meets annually to get updates of what the Board of Directors and Officers are doing to connect with community. Each recorded meeting we state with the membership needs to do in order to grow the potential of our cause.

Our next goal is to add, along with our Highway Clean-up and Youth group events, to add our own Food and Clothing Drive for Kern County's less fortunate children. We have already been in collaboration with the Mission here in Bakersfield and it looks like we may possibly have something going by December of this year.
